Out of the fund's keenness to treat some weakness points in the agricultural sector, the fund launched seven initiatives several years ago with the aim of contributing to overcoming the challenges facing the agricultural sector. They are:
- The initiative of the Center of Agricultural Information (MANAR).
- Rationalizing water consumption in other agricultural crops initiative (except for wheat and green feed).
- Developing handling and marketing methods for agricultural crops initiative (vegetables and fruits).
- An initiative to increase the efficiency of the poultry sector.
- An initiative to develop the palm trees and dates sector.
- An initiative to improve and increase the number of sheep.
- Developing the sector of fisheries initiative.
Consultation studies on these initiatives have been completed and submitted to the Ministry of Environment, Water and Agriculture, according to the specialty of each.
The recommendations of these initiatives were some of the important sources of the Fund's strategy and an important introduction to the Ministry's strategy and initiative in the National Transformation Program, especially the irrigation and agricultural marketing sector, supporting and developing the palm trees and dates sector, developing the fisheries and aquaculture sector, and the livestock sector.
