Information technology in general and electronic services and telecommunications in particular have played an active role in consolidating the concept of sustainable development. They have enhanced research and development activities to improve the performance of government and private institutions. They have led to the development of new administrative and institutional patterns such as digital cities and technology incubators. They have also encouraged economic growth, generated jobs, and contributed to reducing poverty and developing plans and programs aimed at transforming the society into an information one and working towards achieving the national transformation goals.
These modern technologies have provided information, facilitated access to them and made responding to citizens' queries easier, all of which helped raise the level of the services provided by the Agricultural Development Fund and thus improve productivity in order to achieve the overall goals of sustainable development.
With this qualitative shift in the technical field and moving from traditional paperwork to e-commerce, the Agricultural Development Fund has provided an advanced technical infrastructure on the basis of which a range of e-services were launched. This comes as part of the Fund's commitment to the strategic objectives of the National Transition 2020 program towards digital transformation and increasing the proportion of electronic services provided to citizens.
In order to achieve these objectives, the Information Technology Department of the Agricultural Development Fund has worked on the following achievements to help reach its objectives:
- Develop a package of e-services through applying the latest global technologies in this field and focusing on spreading the culture of distinguished services.
- Providing and simplifying e-services through a unified service window on the Fund's portal.
- Activating the e-government program while adopting comprehensive transformation methods in electronic applications and providing advanced services.
- Developing the infrastructure to cope with and support the electronic transformation systems and services of ADF and build a comprehensive database that is shared with other state institutions.
The e-services provided by the ADF through its portal apply the best global practices and simplify them in order to make them accessible for users. The services also raise and improve the efficiency of work.
